San Luis Obispo - The Happiest Place in the US
I Love SLO. I love it so much, I became a board member of the Downtown SLO Association of Special Events. Here are a few reasons why you might love SLO too!
1. Downtown SLO Farmers Markets
Every Thursday evening on Higuera st. you can see the city come alive, with music, and BBQ, and locally grown produce and flowers being sold. Its pretty much out of a movie.
2. Concert in the Mission Plaza
The college kids have left campus, the weather warms up, and the plaza at the Mission starts hosting live music every Friday night until the end of summer. There truly is no better way to end the work week than sitting on the lawn, drinking a glass of wine, and listening to the tunes.
There is just something about the people who live in San Luis Obispo that warms my heart. They come together as a community to share events but also ideas. The elegant balance of city council and the residence here is unlike any I've seen. It's lovely to live in a city like San Luis Obispo.
4. I could go on and on, but SLO is worth experiencing for yourself. And if you get the pleasure of calling it home, you'll know just what I mean.
